321 Reset

You’re putting off tasks and you don’t know why. It’s probably anxiety.
Here’s a research-backed way I use to get back on track.

The 321 Reset

3. Breathe for three minutes. In 4, hold 4, out 4, hold 4. Repeat.
2. Write two things you're grateful for. Keep them specific.
1. Commit to one tiny goal for later, and phrase it like an if-then clause: "If it’s 9am, then I open the doc and write two sentences."

If anxiety isn’t the root cause, do three one-minute mini-moves on the task, like write a title, list three bullets, or stub a function. Starting something will create "open loops" that pull you back later and mirrors behavioral activation.

The 321 Reset takes five minutes and it lowers the noise, lifts your mood, and turns intention into action. Try it now or share this post if you think it will help someone else.

Tell me what your "1" tiny goal will be?
